Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Nanik mobile application and related services ("Service") operated by Nanik.
1. Acceptance
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility and children
The Service is intended for use by adults, such as parents or guardians. You are responsible for any child profile information you provide and for supervising a child's use of the Service. Nanik is not an App Store Kids Category app.
3. Accounts
You may use core features with a guest / anonymous session. Where the Service offers Sign in with Apple, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity under your account. Signed-in accounts may sync story library content across devices. If you create an account, you can delete it from the Account screen in the app.
4. Content and features
Stories, cover illustrations, and narration are generated using automated systems (AI and related services). Output may not always be accurate or suitable for every situation. You remain responsible for reviewing content before sharing it with a child and for how you use and share generated content.
Optional features include hero photos for cover art and voice cloning for narration in your voice. Microphone, camera, and photo-library access are requested only when you use those features.
5. Subscriptions and purchases
Paid features are offered through auto-renewing in-app subscriptions processed by Apple or Google (via StoreKit / the platform store and RevenueCat). Prices, billing periods, and any free trial are shown at purchase time. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase (or when a free trial ends, if offered).
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your App Store (or Google Play) account settings (on iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions). The app also provides Restore purchases and a Manage plan path.
Current plan outlines (exact numbers are also shown in the app):
- Free (non-subscribed): up to 3 personalized stories lifetime, 1 voice clone, and 1 child profile. Narration / voiceover for stories you can create is included and not separately metered.
- Nanik Plus Monthly (auto-renewing, $9.99): up to 60 personalized stories per month, unlimited voice clones, unlimited child profiles, and advanced storytelling features shown in the app.
- Nanik Plus Yearly (auto-renewing, $59.99): the same Plus features as monthly. The yearly price is lower than paying $9.99 each month ($119.88/year). Yearly plans may include a free trial when offered by Apple; trial length and the post-trial price are shown before you confirm.
Deleting your Nanik account does not cancel the store subscription.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, attempt to interfere with its operation, circumvent usage limits through abuse, or use it in violation of applicable law.
7. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers (for example, Supabase, AI service providers for story generation, illustration, and narration, RevenueCat, Apple / Google, and Firebase). Their processing is described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties where allowed by applicable law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
